Water Base Inks

Spectra has dedicated extensive research to producing a premium flexographic water-based ink series. Choose from our Standard Series, including the Economical Base Color system, the Standard Water GCMI system, or our Water-Corrugated special colors or from our Custom Made Series for all your preprint applications such as:

UV Inks and Coatings

Spectra has most recently introduced UV Inks and Coatings to its family of products. These are part of a growing trend in the flexographic printing industry due to their environmental friendliness and significant advantages over water and traditional solvent-based inks such as its instant-dry feature which leaves graphic prints completely cured. As a result, solvents do not penetrate the substrate once it comes off the printer – a great time-saving, hassle-free solution.

UV Inks

Spectra produces UV & energy curing inks which contain a 100% solid system. These inks do not contain any solids that need to evaporate during the curing phase. In addition, due to its lack of solvent, it also does not contain any harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs), making it a popular choice for all high-end flexographic 4-colour process printing applications.

UV flexo inks offer additional color density and image quality enhancement and are specifically formulated for Tag and Label printing. These inks have low viscosity which is excellent for stability and ideal for most printing presses and product applications such as:

UV flexo 4-color process
UV flexo metallic inks

Coatings

Aqueous and UV coatings are ideal for a wide range of flexographic applications such as for sheet-fed offset printing. These Spectra water-based coatings offer high-quality gloss and are odour-free – ideal for in-line over wet lithographic or flexographic inks, including UV topcoat, foil, stamping and gluing. UV coatings are also available for different applications and substrates and have good adhesive properties.
